B is for Baroness is a project I began in LA and continue on both coasts. Using my own experiences of love, loss and affection, I wanted these songs to start where the German-born Dadaist Elsa Von Frietag Loringhiven left off 100 years ago in her voyage to express her own voice.
I call this music Whimsical Torch Song Pop. The tunes are sweet and simple, others traditionally filled out and conforming to the warmest parts of a French waltz musette, a Mexican ballad, a retrofit samba or a grrrl rock classic. Thanks for your interest!
Also includes immediate download of 10-track album in your choice of 320k mp3, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire.

lyrics
The first time we met, at a French banquet, I was lost, I didn’t have a clue
You were wearing a tux, in the hotel deluxe, and I was wearing baby blue
Then you asked me to sway, and I said okay, we danced together from dusk till two
I was caught unaware, I didn’t think I would care about someone so fun, so light, so new
You are no temporary lover don’t you see
Baby please, won’t you come home to me
We sailed every day in a great big bay, tacking to that rock-musette
You played the accordion, and I played the violin, and we sang a sweet duet
And while the sun went down, the gulls flew around, crying loudly it was no secret
When it was time to say goodbye, in that month on July, you called me petit chou, your love, your pet
You are no temporary lover don’t you see
I’m down on my knees, won’t you come home to me
Now you’ve sailed away, And I am left alone
It’s winter and the rains won’t stop, I’m soaking to the bone…and wondering
How would it be, would we be happy, together on that big bateau
Would you sing me a song, would we get along, Would we map our course below
Oh but I haven’t heard, not even a bird, Will tell me what I fear to know
That you’ve found a good girl, a diamond or a pearl, While I’m stuck on you and feeling so low
You are no temporary lover don’t you see
If you come home I will call you mon cherie
You are no temporary lover don’t you see
Won’t you come home to me, permanently
I write witty songs for the whimsical. I play instruments and I sing. I also teach others how to do these things, especially the little ones whose hearts are ready and fingers wise.
This project came before Peach & Spoon. It is filled with lush vocal harmonies, poignant lyrics, and a chill sensibility. Listen and sit down to a nice plate of fruit, cheese, wine and good company. Molly White
