B is for Baroness is a project I began in LA and continue on both coasts. Using my own experiences of love, loss and affection, I wanted these songs to start where the German-born Dadaist Elsa Von Frietag Loringhiven left off 100 years ago in her voyage to express her own voice.

I call this music Whimsical Torch Song Pop. The tunes are sweet and simple, others traditionally filled out and conforming to the warmest parts of a French waltz musette, a Mexican ballad, a retrofit samba or a grrrl rock classic. Thanks for your interest!

Also includes immediate download of 10-track album in your choice of 320k mp3, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly desire.

lyrics

Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven

She wore lights on her dress, alerting all the press, a punk rock fashion avatar, yeah.
She walked New York City, looking very pretty, vermilion in her hair, yeah.

Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven

A quintessential outcast, she had no need for the past, a natural futurist, yeah.
She spoke out against the war, stole items from the store, she jumped from the police car.

Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven

I like to go up tall buildings, I like to look down
I like to see little people, somewhere below me walking around

Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven

Wore tin cans on her chest, a canary in its nest, a non-acquieser, yeah.
Like you and me she turned and tossed, and she thought that she was lost, deserted by her lovers, yeah,

Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven

I write witty songs for the whimsical. I play instruments and I sing. I also teach others how to do these things, especially the little ones whose hearts are ready and fingers wise.
